The first episode of Ugly Wudi, the Chinese adaptation of the international hit Ugly Betty, is set to debut next week, but audiences have rejected the lead actress for being too pretty. Since the telenovela Yo soy Betty, la fea hit the small screen in Colombia, the comedy has been adapted in the US, Russia, Germany and India.
